Requirements

In order to be designated as a Highly Qualified Teacher Assistant, you must meet one of the following requirements:

  • Obtain an associate degree or higher
  • Complete 60 credit hours of study at a regionally or nationally accredited institution of higher education
  • Pass the ParaPro Assessment

ParaPro Assessment

  • Computer based
  • Multiple choice
  • 90 questions
  • 2 ½ hours to complete
  • Immediate results
  • Passing score is at least 455 out of 480
