Requirements
In order to be designated as a Highly Qualified Teacher Assistant, you must meet one of the following requirements:
- Obtain an associate degree or higher
- Complete 60 credit hours of study at a regionally or nationally accredited institution of higher education
- Pass the ParaPro Assessment

- Computer based
- Multiple choice
- 90 questions
- 2 ½ hours to complete
- Immediate results
- Passing score is at least 455 out of 480
