Benefits and Compensation Department
Benefits are important to employees and make up a significant portion of an employee's "total compensation package." To ensure that employees are knowledgeable about their benefit package, the Benefits and Compensation Department conducts new employee orientations and seminars throughout the year. Enrollment materials are processed by the staff and payroll deductions are put in place.

The critical function of the Benefits and Compensation Department is to provide new employees with an overview of benefits, and to process and maintain enrollments in the following benefits:

- Virginia Retirement
- Tax-Deferred Annuity
- Flexible Benefits Program
- Tuition Reimbursement
- Provide retirement estimates
- Process VRS retirement forms
- Enroll retirees in the Retirement Opportunity Program
