Advanced Coursework in Prince William County Schools – Participants will learn about the many opportunities available for students to earn possible college credit through taking an AP, IB, Cambridge, and other advanced courses.

Adverse Childhood Experiences & Understanding the Effects on Our Children - Participants will learn how adverse experiences during childhood cause stress and long-term effects on children's brains and development; and how to advocate and create safer environments to help children grow and flourish.   All Grade Levels

Career and Technical Education Programs in Prince William County Schools – Participants will learn about the many career preparation options available to students in Prince William County Public Schools.

Career and Technical Schools – Are they right for your student? – Participants will learn about career school options in the Northern Virginia region.

Careers in the Military – Participants will learn about the many career and college options available to students who enlist in the military after high school.

College Planning Support– Participants will learn about current trends in college admissions, so they can best support their student during the process.

Countdown to College – Participants will learn about the steps that must be taken in grades 9-12 to plan for life after high school.

Dual Enrollment at Northern Virginia Community College – Participants will learn about opportunities available to high school students to earn both college and high school credit at Northern Virginia Community College.

Financial Aid and Scholarships– Participants will learn about the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the scholarship search process.

Four Year College Admissions – Participants will learn about the college application process and important considerations for students and parents.

Historically Black Colleges and Universities – Participants will learn about the programs available to students at our Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

It’s a Different World – 21st Century Career Options for our Students – Participants will learn about the current career landscape and the jobs of the future.

Mental Health Through the Eyes of a Teen – Parents will learn statistics on teenage mental health, signs of concerns, and ways to help.

Naviance Student – A Powerful Post-Secondary Planning Tool – Participants will learn about the many features of the Naviance Student program which is available to all PWCS high school students to support post-secondary planning.

Navigating the College Athletic Recruitment Process - A Primer for Parents – Participants will learn about the process to apply to the NCAA Clearinghouse and tips for taking appropriate high school courses for students who plan to play a sport at a Division I, II, or III college or university.

Navigating the Scholarship Process– Hear from a former PWCS student who graduated from college debt free! Alanna McCatty will share tips and tricks for the scholarship search process.

Northern Virginia Community College Admissions and Programs – Participants will learn about the many programs available at Northern Virginia Community College and the application process.

Organization, Time Management, and Study Skills – Participants will learn ways in which they can support the growth of their student as they learn to better manage their study time and organization both at home and at school.

Raising Children in a Digital World – Helping parents navigate the complicated world of social media, apps, video games, and more. All Grade Levels

Raising Math/Test Savvy Students – Participants will learn about the importance of the study of mathematics and will receive tips to help them support their student’s learning.

SAT vs. ACT – Participants will learn about the differences between the SAT and ACT and considerations for choosing which test a student should take.

The Transition from High School to College – A Parent’s Perspective – Participants will hear from parents about their experience transitioning their student from high school to college.

The Transition from Middle School to High School – A Parent’s Perspective - Participants will hear from parents about their experience transitioning their student from middle school to high school.

Transitioning from Middle to High School –Participants will learn from a current middle school principals about the joys and pitfalls of the transition from 8th to 9th grade.

Virtual Prince William – Participants will learn about opportunities available to students through the Prince William County Virtual High School.

What’s My Teenager Thinking?  A Parent’s Crash Course on the Teenage Brain – Participants will learn about how brain development in adolescents affects decision-making, judgement and resilience.

*Parents may sign up for any session they wish to attend. The grade level recommendations are simply a guide for those who wish to attend a session with focus on a certain student grade level.
