Welcome to the Parent Learning Series (PLS)

(formerly known as The Parent Summit)

The High School Parent Summit has become a mainstay in the post-high school planning experience for thousands of PWCS parents. We are taking the content previously shared at the Parent Summit and adding even more content to the new Parent Learning Series! The goal of the Parent Learning Series (PLS) is to continue helping families learn how to support their students as they navigate high school and beyond. Content will be delivered to parents through a select number of synchronous (live) Zoom webinars as well as asynchronous (recorded) on demand sessions available through the Canvas platform.   Parents will be able to view as many sessions as desired at a time convenient to their schedule.  New presentations are being added throughout the 2021-22 school year.

Directions for Accessing the Parent Learning Series Canvas Course:

  1. Log in to your student's Canvas account or Observer/Parent Access account.
  2. Click on the link below:

  3. If not logged into Canvas,  you will be prompted to enter the Microsoft Office 365 login and password connected to the Canvas account.
  4. Once you have joined the course, it will be viewable on your student's Canvas Dashboard.

If you have not created a Canvas Observer/Parent Access account, additional instructions can be found under the Parent, Guardian, Observer Access Code to Canvas Tab on the PWCS Canvas & Zoom webpage.

Register for Upcoming Webinars

Click on the session link of your choice to REGISTER in advance.  These webinars allow a maximum of 500 participants.  A recording of the presentation will be provided afterwards regardless of the webinar becoming filled. 

After submitting your registration, you will receive a follow-up email with a link to join the session.
