School Board Names 2016 Delegates to Professional Organizations and Committees

In accordance with Board Policy 180, the Prince William County School Board takes action annually regarding membership in professional organizations and selection of Board representatives to each organization.

At its January 6 meeting, the Board approved the following actions and appointments for organizations/committees as follows:

  • Continue membership in the Virginia School Boards Association (VSBA) and renew membership for National School Boards Association (NSBA) for 2016.
  • Loree Williams (Woodbridge) as delegate to the Virginia School Boards Association Annual Convention in Williamsburg, Virginia on November 16-18, 2016.
  • Willie Deutsch (Coles) as alternate to the Virginia School Boards Association Annual Convention in Williamsburg, Virginia on November 16-18, 2016.
  • Diane Raulston (Neabsco) as delegate to the National School Boards Association Annual Convention in Boston, on April 8-11, 2016.
  • Loree Williams (Woodbridge) as alternate to the National School Boards Association Convention in Boston on April 8-11, 2016.
  • Justin Wilk (Potomac) as representative to the Northern Virginia Special Education Regional Board for 2016.
  • Loree Williams (Woodbridge) as alternate to the Northern Virginia Special Education Regional Board for 2016.
  • Lillie Jessie (Occoquan) as representative to the National Alliance of Black School Educators for 2016.
  • Diane Raulston (Neabsco) as alternate to the National Alliance of Black School Educators for 2016.
  • Willie Deutsch (Coles) as representative to the Prince William County and Schools Joint Audit Committee for 2016.
  • Gil Trenum (Brentsville) as alternate to the Prince William County and Schools Joint Audit Committee for 2016.
  • Gil Trenum (Brentsville) to serve as representative to the Washington Area Boards of Education for 2016.
  • Justin Wilk (Potomac) to serve as alternate to the Washington Area Boards of Education for 2016.
  • Lillie Jessie (Occoquan) to serve as representative to the Head Start Advisory Board for 2016.
  • Alyson Satterwhite (Gainesville) to serve as representative to the School Health Advisory Board for 2016.
  • Alyson Satterwhite (Gainesville) and Justin Wilk (Potomac) to serve on the Safe Schools Advisory Council for 2016.
  • Chairman At-Large Ryan Sawyers and Gil Trenum (Brentsville) to serve as representatives to the PWCS Internal Audit Committee for 2016.
  • Justin Wilk (Potomac) to serve as alternate to the PWCS Internal Audit Committee for 2016.
