Monique Bookstein

Monique "Mo" Bookstein is pleased to be appointed as PWCS Ombudsman. She joined the school division in January 2022. Monique spent the last 33 years with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in various leadership roles. In 2010, she was appointed as the FBI Ombudsman by then-Director Robert Mueller. During her tenure as the FBI Ombudsman, Monique worked to empower FBI employees to constructively resolve work issues. She also served as an early warning system by providing systemic feedback to FBI executive leadership on issues that had a profound effect on FBI operations, morale, and reputation. Monique, a Prince William County native and PWCS graduate, earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland in legal studies and a master's degree from Lewis University in organizational leadership. She also holds a certificate in Organizational Development and Conflict Resolution from the Northern Virginia Mediation Service. She is a member in good standing with the International Ombudsman Association, the United States Ombudsman Association and the Association for Conflict Resolution.
