19,
2020,
the
Prince
William
County
School
Board
voted
unanimously
to
direct
the
Superintendent
to
study
possible
changes
to
start
times
for
school,
by
means
of
benchmarking,
surveys,
and
further
research.
This
was
also
suggested
by
the
student
representative
to
the
School
Board.
This spring, staff will begin the early exploration of this study with benchmarking, research, and information gathering, including surveys. This first phase of work is anticipated to be completed near the end of the current school year. No changes to start times are expected for the coming school year (2020-21). Further information and input gathering from stakeholders including parents, students, and staff will occur after this initial phase.
