In preparation for the 2021-22 opening of "Potomac Shores" Middle School, a boundary planning committee comprised of volunteers is currently creating school attendance area proposals for the School Board's consideration. Boundary changes may impact students who reside in the attendance areas for Beville, Graham Park, Hampton, Fred Lynn, Potomac, Rippon, Saunders, or Woodbridge Middle Schools. Enter your address in Tab 5-How Could This Affect You? of the "Potomac Shores" Boundary Portal to find out how you might be affected. Check back often, because new plans are shared online throughout the planning process.
Members of the public are encouraged to share feedback about boundary plans with their representative(s) on the boundary planning committee. A list of members is available on Tab 8 of the boundary portal. You can also learn more about the potential changes to school attendance areas and share feedback on proposals under consideration, by attending one or both upcoming community meetings. The first meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2020, in the Forest Park High School auditorium. The second community meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2020, in the Freedom High School auditorium.
