Prince William County Public Schools is continuing the middle school attendance area planning for "Potomac Shores" Middle School, opening for the 2021-22 school year, through virtual meetings. The second, and final, virtual community meeting will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 14. Residents in the following middle school attendance areas could be impacted and are encouraged to attend: Beville, Fred Lynn, Graham Park, Hampton, Potomac, Rippon, Saunders, and Woodbridge Middle Schools.

During the virtual meeting, boundary plans developed by the Boundary Planning Committee will be shared with the public. The meeting will include more specific information about the plans, along with their implications for relieving overcrowding at the various middle schools in the eastern area of Prince William County. The Boundary Planning Committee will also receive public input on their proposed boundary plans.

For those with web access, the following options are available to you:

• View the community meeting online at pwcstv.com.
• Those who wish to submit a written public statement about the proposed middle school attendance areas may do so before Monday, May 18.
  o These statements will be publicly available on Tab - 8 of the Potomac Shores Middle School Boundary Portal.
• A recording of the community meeting will be made available in the days following the webinar. A link will be posted on the Potomac Shores Middle School Boundary Portal and on Twitter (@PlanningPWCS).

For those without web access, the following options are available to you:

Next Steps

Looking ahead, the "Potomac Shores" Middle School Boundary Planning Committee's recommendations will be presented to the School Board at its meeting on Wednesday, May 20, and the School Board will vote on the 2021-22 middle school attendance areas on Wednesday, June 10.

There will be opportunities for community members to speak at both meetings before the School Board votes on the 2021-22 middle school attendance areas.
