PWCS is hosting an African American History Education virtual town hall

Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS) will be hosting a virtual town hall to provide the community with an overview of the work of the Governor's Commission on African American History Education. This virtual event will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2020, and will provide insight into the current efforts PWCS is making to ensure our history and social science courses explore diversity and multiple perspectives.

Participating panelists include Secretary of Education Atif Qarni and members of the Governor's Commission, PWCS School Board members and educators, and a representative from the Virginia Department of Education. There will be time for a question and answer session with the panelists and registered participants.
