Forbes has ranked Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS) as 11th in Virginia in its ranking of America's best employers and the highest for a school division. The rankings are based on surveys of 80,000 Americans working for businesses with at least 500 employees and were conducted on a rolling basis from October 2019 to May 2020. Results were compiled into a list divided into 51 rankings, one for each of the country's 50 states, plus the District of Columbia. Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista in its second annual ranking of best employers by state to identify organizations liked best by employees.
"As the highest ranked school division in Virginia by Forbes 2020 list of best employers, I am incredibly proud of the leadership that has created an environment where employees feel safe and valued," said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Steve Walts. "My personal goal is that each and every employee feels that they are an integral part of the family of Prince William County Public Schools and knows that their contributions are critical to the success of our everyday operations and our mission; we are striving to provide a World-Class Education to each and every one of our students!"
