Tech Boot Camp prepares Westridge Elementary students; image of a teacher with camouflage holding a top secret letter

The fresh recruits in the Tech Boot Camp set out to test their courage and advance on the difficult learning tasks set by their commanders, better known as second-grade teachers at Westridge Elementary School. Dressed in camouflage and wearing their dog tags, the second graders began each day with a cadence call to unite them toward their goal of learning to use Seesaw.

Throughout the first weeks, students tried different tools on Seesaw with assignments getting increasingly more difficult. The teachers also discussed with the students about needing courage to do hard things and how learning Seesaw may be difficult at first. When students finished Tech Boot Camp, they were ready for future (and tougher) assignments.
