SPARK, the education foundation for Prince William County Public Schools, will award numerous scholarships to graduating seniors this year. SPARK also acts as the fiscal agent for other scholarship awards to PWCS graduating seniors.

Applications are now available for the following scholarships

SPARK is only a part of the selection process for the following exclusively administered scholarships:

Chick-fil-A Prince William County Scholarship
This scholarship awards $4,000 to one PWCS graduating high school senior.

Dr. Edward L. Kelly Scholarship
$1,500 scholarship to three graduating PWCS high school seniors who intend to pursue studies to enter the teaching profession.
Deadline: 11:59 p.m. on April 9, 2021

Lilian M. Orlich Scholarship
$2,500 to a graduating high school senior at Osbourn Park High School.
Deadline: 11:59 p.m. on April 9, 2021

Lockheed Martin Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Scholarship
$1,500 to two graduating PWCS high school seniors who plan to pursue a career in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics field. The recipients will also be eligible to apply for a Lockheed Martin paid internship opportunity.

Micron Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Scholarship
$1,500 to one or more graduating PWCS high school seniors who plan to pursue a career in a technology, engineering, or mathematics field.

YES Scholarship
This scholarship awards $5,000 to one graduating high school senior that attended Yorkshire Elementary School for at least one year.

The following scholarships are open to all seniors in PWCS, given they meet the scholarship's requirements:

NOTE: In some cases, SPARK acts as the fiscal agent for the following scholarships, but is not part of the selection process, therefore they are not exclusively administered by SPARK.

Career and Technical Education (CTE) Post-Secondary Scholarship
$1,000 to one graduate of PWCS who completed a VDOE approved CTE sequence of courses and plans to pursue a CTE plan of study at a post-secondary institute. This application is also hosted on Kaleidoscope but is not administered by SPARK or the SPARK scholarship review committee.
Deadline: 11:59 p.m. on April 9, 2021

Career and Technical Education (CTE) Scholarship
$1,000 to one graduate of PWCS who completed a VDOE approved CTE sequence of courses and plans to pursue a professional certification, an Associate in Science (A.S.) Degree, or an Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) Degree. This application is also hosted on Kaleidoscope, but is not administered by SPARK or the SPARK scholarship review committee.

David J Cobb Foundation Scholarship (PDF)
$1,000 to one graduate of PWCS who plans to pursue a degree in the medical field. Please follow the directions in the scholarship packet for submitting the application.

Nursing (CTE) Scholarship
$1,000 to one graduate of PWCS who participated in the Licensed Practical Nursing program and is continuing a plan of study in nursing. This application is also hosted on Kaleidoscope, but is not administered by SPARK or the SPARK scholarship review committee.

Payton's Project - Free Bullying Scholarship
This scholarship awards $1,000 to one eligible graduating high school senior from each of the 12 Prince William County High Schools, that plan to pursue studies at a higher learning institute.

Austin Trenum Memorial Scholarship - Brentsville District High School (PDF)
$1,000 to a graduating high school senior at Brentsville District High School. Please contact the Brentsville District High School counseling department for application and details, or download the application by clicking the link above.

Forest Park Black Alumni Scholarship
$1,500 to two Black graduating seniors in good standing at Forest Park High School. Apply online by clicking the link above.

Ryan Trexel Memorial Scholarship - Osbourn Park High School
This $3,000 scholarship is awarded to a graduating high school senior at Osbourn Park High School. Please contact the Osbourn Park High School counseling department for application and details.

Sara Lott Memorial Scholarship - Forest Park High School (PDF)
$1,500 to graduating high school senior at Forest Park High School. Please contact the Forest Park High School counseling department for application and details, or download the application by clicking the link above.

Victor A. Cahoon Scholarship - Osbourn Park High School
This $4,000 scholarship is awarded to a graduating high school senior at Osbourn Park High School. Please contact the Osbourn Park High School counseling department for application and details.

The following scholarships are sponsored outside of SPARK by community partners:

Dulles' Community Outreach Scholarship
The Committee for Dulles' Community Outreach Committee will award 14 academic scholarships at $1,000 each and one Academic/Community Service scholarship at $2,000. Eligible applicants must be an employee/volunteer of, or dependent of an employee/volunteer of a business or agency operating within the Dulles Airport perimeter (the fence that surrounds Airport property) and plan to enroll in an accredited community college, trade school, college, or university.

Education & Workforce Scholarship
Through the Education & Workforce Summit, the Prince William Chamber supports higher education by awarding $2,500 academic scholarships to high school students who have demonstrated academic success and a commitment to volunteer service in our community. High school students have to be a current employee or the dependent of a chamber member business employee - this includes staff and teachers from our three school districts and corresponding governments.
