"May
I
take
your
order,
please?"
was
heard
throughout
the
classroom
as
fourth
grade
students
at
Ashland
Elementary
School
took
part
in
the
Decimal
Diner.
Students
were
hungry
for
the
opportunity
to
put
their
newly
acquired
math
skills
to
use
in
a
fun
and
engaging
way.
"I
really
liked
watching
the
kids
interact
with
each
other,
being
able
to
talk
to
one
another,
take
each
other's
orders,
and
ask
each
other
questions.
I
was
also
able
to
see
the
math
that
they
were
doing.
Adding
and
subtracting
decimals
and
checking
their
work
with
the
calculators.
I
could
see
their
success,"
shared
Melissa
Peppy,
fourth
grade
teacher
at
Ashland
Elementary.
