Standards of Learning LogoSpring 2022 Standards of Learning (SOL) test results are now available in the SOL Test History section of ParentVUE. Families can log into their ParentVUE accounts and see their student's SOL test scores from Spring 2022, as well as for SOL tests taken prior to that. Because of the availability of scores in ParentVUE, PWCS will not mail home paper copies of score reports this summer.

The specific SOL tests in which students participate is determined by federal law or state regulations. A student's performance on SOL tests is reported using something called a scaled score and performance level indicator. As you review your student's performance, please remember that standardized assessments like the SOL tests represent just one of the ways that PWCS assesses your student's academic growth and proficiency. Test scores merely represent your student's performance on a specific subject area test at a single point in time. There is naturally always the potential for some error with any assessment and that can vary with each student. Because of this, PWCS considers multiple sources of information, in addition to standardized test scores, when making instructional decisions about your student to best meet their individual needs. Please note that passing an SOL test is not a requirement in the Commonwealth of Virginia until a student is required to pass a specific number of high school level tests in order to receive verified credit toward graduation.

Families of students that participated in the Virginia Alternate Assessment Program (VAAP) should be aware that VAAP results are not yet available. When those results become available, they will appear in ParentVUE and a notification will be posted on the PWCS Testing Office webpage.
