Congratulations to the following employees on their recent appointments. 

Kim Gudinas, supervisor of integrated professional learning, has been appointed management support director for elementary schools.

Laura Cross, hearing officer in the Student Management and Alternative Programs Department, was appointed assistant principal at Forest Park High School.

April Johnson, currently an assistant principal in Boston Public Schools, has been appointed assistant principal at Potomac Middle School, effective August 29.

Paula Meoli, an assistant principal at George C. Marshall High School in Fairfax County Public Schools, was appointed assistant principal at Independence Nontraditional School.

Anaid Shaver, graduate assistant to the president at the American Counseling Association, was appointed supervisor of college and career counseling in the Student Services and Post-Secondary Success Department.

Lucy Afful, business teacher at Freedom High School, was appointed administrative intern at Forest Park High School.

Kendra Johnson, director of disability policy and services for the Graduate Management Admission Council in Reston, was appointed Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) coordinator in the Department of Benefits.

Cherie McGee, human resources specialist in the Human Resources Department, was appointed compensation and classification coordinator there. 

Jillian O’Callaghan, on-time graduation resource teacher in Fairfax County Public Schools, was appointed dropout prevention and truancy intervention coordinator in the Student Services and Post-Secondary Success Department.

Christine Terenchin, history teacher at C.D. Hylton High School, was appointed specialty program coordinator at the school.
