The 11 annual Battle of the Books crowned a familiar champion Springwoods Elementary School. The book-based quiz game began with 34 teams competing and ended with just two facing off for the win. The now, two-time consecutive champion battled it out with elementary school teams from around the county to show off their knowledge of book trivia in front of a nearly full auditorium of spectators. The winning moment came as Springwoods faced their opponent Glenkirk Elementary School in a tiebreaker to become champion.

Both teams wrote their answers to the question, "In which book is it quoted, It's not feeding time at the zoo?"
