About Maggie De La Rosa, Ed.D.
Prince William County Public Schools appointed hired Dr. Maggie De La Rosa as associate superintendent for central elementary schools on July 24, 2025. With nearly 30 years of experience, Dr. De La Rosa has held several leadership positions focused on instructional leadership, educator development, parent engagement, and student achievement across Texas.
Dr. De La Rosa’s extensive background includes roles such as assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction, chief of strategic initiatives, chief of school leadership, and elementary school principal. She also served as an assistant principal in elementary and middle schools as well as a bilingual teacher in Texas and Florida.
Dr. De La Rosa earned her Doctor of Education Leadership & Policy from Southern Methodist University, and her Master of Education in School Administration from University of Texas Brownsville. She has a bachelor’s degree from Pan American University and has earned both principal and superintendency certifications.
