Our Preschool Program is committed to an inclusive community that nurtures every child through high-quality, developmentally appropriate learning. Our partnerships with families and educators provide comprehensive support essential to each child’s success.

Pre-K

PWCS offers preschool for eligible 4–5-year-old children through the Virginia Preschool Initiative (VPI) and Head Start grants, using state-approved instructional programs to support academic, social, and emotional development.

Early Childhood Special Education

Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) provides specialized instruction and related services for eligible children ages 2–5 who qualify for support under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.
