2027 Dates

Senior Division

• Phase 1 (virtual): February 19-25, 2027
• Phase 2 (in person): March 6, 2027

Projects must be promoted from the school fair to the regional fair by January 25, 2027.

Middle School Division

• Phase 1 (virtual): April 16-22, 2027
• Phase 2 (in person): May 1, 2027

Projects must be promoted from the school fair to the regional fair by March 15, 2027.

Home instruction students are welcome, but their project must place first or second at an affiliated local school fair to qualify for participation in the regional fair.

To qualify for participation in the regional science fair, students must meet the following criteria:

• Attend grades 6-8 (Middle Division) or 9-12 (Senior Division) in a public or affiliated private school, or are a home instruction student, in Prince William County or the Manassas region.
• Participate in your local school science and engineering fair. Home instruction students must participate in an affiliated middle or high school fair, and should contact that school for more information.
• As a winner of your local fair (first or second place), register your project with the Prince William-Manassas Regional Science and Engineering Fair in the zFairs platform.
• Submit all required forms as required by ISEF and directed by your sponsor and science fair coordinator.
