Health & Wellness Benefits

  • Medical Coverage - Choose from four medical plan options offered through Anthem and Kaiser Permanente, providing flexibility to meet your healthcare needs.
  • Dental Coverage - PWCS offers two dental plan options through Delta Dental of Virginia, including preventive care and comprehensive services.
  • Vision Coverage - Employees may elect voluntary vision insurance provided by Vision Service Plan (VSP).

Retirement & Financial Security

  • Virginia Retirement System (VRS) - Eligible full-time employees participate in the VRS retirement program, which includes Group Term Life Insurance and optional Supplemental Life Insurance.
  • Supplemental Retirement Plan - Employees have the option to build additional long‑term savings through a supplemental retirement account. Available plans include 403(b) and 457(b) pre-tax and Roth plans. PWCS supports employee savings by matching contributions to the 403(b) plans. The employer match is incremental up to the first 2% of salary contributed, and based on years of service.
  • Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) - PWCS offers two tax‑advantaged FSA options, a Health Care FSA and a Dependent Care FSA.
  • Voluntary Long‑Term Care Insurance - Additional coverage is available to help protect future financial stability.

Leave & Disability Benefits

  • Comprehensive Leave Program - PWCS provides a wide variety of leave options to support work-life harmony, including annual leave, sick leave, and personal leave (based on role and eligibility).
  • Paid Parental Leave - New parents may be eligible for paid leave following the birth or adoption of a child (based on role and eligibility).
