Required immunizations are due by August 15, 2025

The deadline to meet the immunization requirements for the upcoming school year is August 15, 2025. If proof of required immunizations is not provided by the deadline, the student will not be permitted to start school on Monday, August 18, 2025, until documentation is provided.

Provide Immunization Information to the school

Immunization appointments can be scheduled with your health care provider, urgent care, or local pharmacy for your student to receive the missing immunization(s).

Once completed, provide documentation to your student’s school indicating that your student has received the immunization(s). All documentation must include the student’s full name and ID number. Immunization information must be delivered in person to the school's office.

If your student cannot receive an immunization for some reason, the health provider must give you a medical exemption statement to provide to your student’s school.

Immunization Opportunities

Prince William Health District - Back to School Vaccine Clinics

The Prince William Health District will be offering vaccine clinics for students who are missing one or more vaccines required for school. Vaccines are provided at no cost to families, regardless of health insurance status. Please bring a copy of your student’s immunization record and insurance card if applicable.

Clinic dates and times

• August 8, 2025 - 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
• August 15, 2025 - 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Appointment Information

Appointments are required for the following vaccines:

• Dtap/DT/Td
• Polio
• MMR
• Hepatitis B
• Varicella
• Hepatitis A

Walk-ins will be accepted during these clinics if your student only needs the following vaccines:

• Tdap
• HPV
• Meningococcal

Clinics will be held at the Manassas and Woodbridge locations. To make an appointment, contact the location of your choice.

Additional Opportunities

Several local healthcare facilities and physician offices offer vaccination appointments.
