IB MYP Program Model

The IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) offers a challenging and comprehensive academic program for middle school students. The program connects the subject areas of language arts, humanities, mathematics, science, world language, technology, arts, and physical education through six global contexts.

Beville Middle, Fred Lynn Middle, Hampton Middle, and Unity Braxton Middle Schools are IB World Schools authorized for the IBMYP for grades six, seven, and eight. The program continues in grades 9 and 10 at Gar-Field and Unity Reed High Schools.

An IBMYP Certificate may be obtained at Gar-Field or Unity Reed High Schools at the end of grade 10.

Note: Applications for this program are open for rising 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students.

Program Type

Transfer Program – Students participating in this program will transfer to the program location for all courses and activities. Express Bus Transportation is available to accepted students living outside the program location boundaries through Specialty Program Transportation.
