Registration Now Open for Robotics Summer Camps

Registration is now open for First Lego League (FLL) and VEX V5 summer camps for 2026.

First Lego League (FLL) Summer Camp

Locations and Dates

  • June 22-26, 2026 (Week 1): Mullen Elementary School and John D. Jenkins Elementary School
  • July 6-10, 2026 (Week 2): Gravely Elementary School
  • July 13-17, 2026 (Week 3): Springwoods Elementary School
  • July 20-24, 2026 (Week 4): Innovation Elementary School and Kilby Elementary School
  • July 27-31, 2026 (Week 5): Dale City Elementary School and McAuliffe Elementary School

Times

All camps will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. No before or aftercare will be provided for the camp. Parents/guardians must pick up students on time.

Registration

Registration begins May 11, 2026, and closes June 8, 2026. The cost is $250 per week. Each camp has a maximum capacity of 30 students. Camp activities are identical each week. To promote equitable access for all families, registration is limited to one week per child.

FLL camps are available exclusively to rising 4th and 5th graders. If your student receives free/reduced lunch, please contact Erin Lowery at [email protected] for a promo code.

Please keep in mind that no transportation or food services will be provided. Students will need to bring their own lunch, snacks, and water.

VEX V5 Summer Camp

Locations and Dates

  • Week 1: July 6-10, 2026, at Potomac High School. This week is designated for student who are new to VEX V5 robotics or are still developing their foundational skills.
  • Week 2: July 13-17, 2026, at Potomac High School. This week is intended for intermediate and advanced students who want to refine and enhance their skills with VEX V5 robotics.
  • Week 3: July 20-24, 2026, at Gainesville Middle School. This week is designated for student who are new to VEX V5 robotics or are still developing their foundational skills.
  • Week 4: July 27-31, 2026, at Gainesville Middle School. This week is intended for intermediate and advanced students who want to refine and enhance their skills with VEX V5 robotics.

Times

Potomac High School Camps will be held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Gainesville Middle School Camps will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m.

Registration

Registration is $250.

Registration opens Monday, May 18, 2026, at 8 a.m. and closes Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Camps are limited to 15 students. Due to limited capacity each week, and to ensure all students have an opportunity to participate, registration is limited to one week of camp per student.

V5 camps are available to rising 6th through 12th graders. If your student receives free/reduced lunch, please contact Erin Lowery at [email protected].
