Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS) recently sent 19 students to the Southern Region Honor Choirs as a part of the 2024 American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) Southern Region Conference in Louisville, Kentucky.

Elementary, middle, and high school students across Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia submitted auditions for this prestigious event.

For the audition, students sang a pre-selected audition piece, and judges identified the highest scoring students out of over 1,700 audition submissions for selection into the event. PWCS choir students sang in advanced choral ensembles led by prestigious guest conductors and made positive connections with other students from across the region. Students rehearsed the music for three days in Kentucky, and put on a final performance on Saturday, February 24, 2024.
