The First Lady of Virginia Suzanne Youngkin and Dr. Jonathan Haidt, award-winning social psychologist, researcher, and author, are hosting a fireside chat for parents, educators, and community members from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, September 19 at Old Bridge Elementary School (3051 Old Bridge Road, Lake Ridge, VA 22192).

The First Lady and Dr. Haidt will discuss the findings of Dr. Haidt’s book, The Anxious Generation, and how limiting social media and cell phone use can lead to better outcomes for children. 

Attendees will have the opportunity during a facilitated community conversation to learn, discuss, and help shape the policies and practices around technology in our schools and communities. Attendees will also be able to discuss best practices for the use of cell phones and social media both in and out of school.
