It's that time of year again when fourth-grade students from PWCS got to trade their classrooms for the great outdoors at the annual Farm Field Days. This exciting event, organized by the Prince William Soil and Water Conservation District, is all about giving kids a hands-on experience with life on the farm. The event was packed with hands-on activities that brought farm life to life
Students rotated through seven different barns, each offering lessons on soil, trees, pollination, water quality, and more. They interacted with farm animals, conducted soil experiments, and learned about the different regions of Virginia. Every activity was designed to align with Virginia Standards of Learning (SOL) standards, making learning both fun and educational.
Farm Field Days offered a unique opportunity for students to gain a deeper understanding of agriculture and natural resources by combining hands-on learning with practical knowledge
