Dear PWCS Families, Employees, and Community,

The Prince William County School Board is seeking two student representatives for the 2025-26 school year. Student representatives are non-voting members who serve a crucial role in amplifying the voices and perspectives of our student body. Rising juniors and seniors are eligible to apply. Interested candidates can find more information on our School Board Representative Application Process website and will need to fill out the application by Sunday, April 6.

As we look forward to upcoming events and opportunities, there are several important dates and activities to keep in mind. Join us on Thursday, March 20, for an informative Family Engagement Series webinar designed to help students and families explore Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) and its affordable tuition, flexible programs, and seamless transfer opportunities. With 110+ degree and certificate options, this webinar highlights how NOVA provides an accessible and achievable path to reaching college goals.

PWCS will host a Student Aide Job Fair on Monday, March 24, for students 16 years of age and older who are interested in positions as student aides for summer school. Learn more about student aide positions and prepare to apply.

On Wednesday, March 26, PWCS will host an Employment and Summer Job Fair for high school students seeking summer employment or planning to enter the workforce, military, or postsecondary training programs after graduation. This event provides opportunities to explore career pathways, meet local employers, and participate in informal student workshops on resume writing and interview tips. Students are encouraged to contact their school counselor or college and career counselor for more details.

March is Women’s History Month and this year’s theme is “Moving Forward Together! Women Educating & Inspiring Generations.” The theme emphasizes the vital role that women play in shaping the future through education and inspiration, encouraging communities to acknowledge and support the contributions of women in various fields. Throughout the month of March, please join us in celebrating the remarkable achievements and contributions of the many women who have left an indelible mark on our community, nation, and world.

Sincerely,
