State FCCLA Conference Graphic

Eight students from Patriot High School’s Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) co-curricular student organization stood out at the Virginia FCCLA State Leadership Conference, advancing to the FCCLA’s National Leadership Conference in July. 

As a school, the Patriot FCCLA co-curricular student organization earned several accolades, including a membership award for having the second-largest chapter in the state, an Outstanding Platinum Chapter Award for their programming, and recognition of 20 Power of One completers. 

Congratulations to the following Patriot FCCLA students for advancing to the national conference: 

  • Emma Ashley, first place in Career Investigation event 
  • Jennifer (Jay) King, first place in Baking and Pastry live skill event 
  • Shavon Davis and Shavonne Davis, first place in Chapter in Review event 
  • Madelyn Correale, Aria McGee, and Alyssa Nielsen, first place in Food Innovations event 
  • Cameron McGee, top 20 nationally for Online Instructional Video event 

The Patriot Middles Chapter from Marsteller Middle School received an Outstanding Silver Chapter Award for their programs and activities and had seven Power of One completers.  

Both competing middle school students advanced to the national conference: 

  • Izabelle Correale and Lainey McVea, first place in Chapter in Review event 

Additionally, Olivia (Liv) Tiscenko, from Patriot High, finished her duties as a state officer while Cameron McGee, also from Patriot, was voted into the role of Vice President of Programs for Virginia’s FCCLA.
