Elementary students from across PWCS explored the world of robotics during the first week of the First Lego League robotics summer camp, a program designed to spark curiosity and creativity without the pressure of competition. Campers engaged in hands-on activities, building and coding robots using LEGO-based platforms while developing problem-solving and teamwork skills.
Many participants arrived with no prior robotics experience but quickly gained confidence as they constructed robot platforms, completed missions, and coded their creations to perform specific tasks. Instructors noted the excitement and growth among students as they overcame challenges and celebrated their successes.
For many, the highlight was the joy of building and coding. Campers expressed enthusiasm about continuing their robotics journey, inspired by the fun and rewarding experience. The camp fosters a welcoming environment where young minds can explore STEM in a playful, supportive setting—laying the foundation for future innovation.
