The Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents (ALAS) has recognized Dr. Lynmara Colón, director of student opportunity and multilingual services, with the 2025-26 National Central Office Administrator of the Year award. This award recognizes a leader at the district level who has had a positive impact on policy, instruction, and student outcomes across multiple schools.
“I am thankful to PWCS for trusting me to lead this important work. This isn’t just a role—it’s my calling. I lead so that every multilingual learner sees their brilliance reflected in our schools and knows they belong,” reflected Dr. Colón. “Winning the ALAS Central Office Administrator of the Year award is a milestone in a journey that began with a dream—to uplift every student, especially those whose voices are often unheard.”
Dr. Stephanie Soliven, associate superintendent for teaching and learning shared, “Dr. Colón embodies an exceptional blend of expertise, authenticity, and passion for her field. Her unwavering dedication to enhancing outcomes for students who are learning new languages makes her an invaluable asset to our entire community.”
