
Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS) has appointed Brooke LeVecchi as principal of “Woodbridge Area” Elementary School, effective January 5, 2026. The school is scheduled to open for the 2026-27 school year.
LeVecchi brings more than 20 years of experience in education and a proven record of fostering academic achievement and building strong, inclusive school communities. Since July 2023, LeVecchi has served as principal of Neabsco Elementary School, following previous roles as assistant principal, administrative intern, instructional technology coach, and teacher throughout her education career. Her diverse background reflects a deep understanding of instructional leadership and student-centered learning.
Under her leadership, Neabsco Elementary achieved notable progress, including increases in SOL assessment scores across several content areas, an increase in math SOL pass advanced scores, and English learner student growth.
LeVecchi spearheaded several key initiatives, such as the launch of the All In Tutoring program at the school, providing academic support for students, along with the development of Franklin Covey’s Leader in Me program and the innovative “House System: Five Houses, One Home.” In addition, she led over 10 schoolwide family engagement events, strengthening the school’s positive climate and culture and family and community engagement.
LeVecchi earned a master’s degree in new professional studies and a certificate in education leadership and supervision from George Mason University. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in education from Fairmont State University.
