students with award medals

Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS) students enrolled in the Growing Our Own Teachers program proudly represented the division at the annual Virginia Educators Rising® Student Leadership Conference and Competitive Events in Glen Allen, Virginia.

This year, 110 PWCS students earned top placements across a wide range of individual and team competitions. These results include 19 first‑place winners from C.D. Hylton High School, Charles J. Colgan Sr. High School, Freedom High School, and Osbourn Park High School.

All first‑place finishers in individual or team categories have qualified to represent both PWCS and the Commonwealth of Virginia at the Educators Rising® National Conference in June.

Congratulations to these impressive students, our program alumni who have returned to serve PWCS classrooms, and the teacher leaders who guide and mentor them.
