Dear PWCS Families, Employees, and Community,

As we are nearing the end of another school year, I extend my best wishes to all students completing end-of-year assessments and final exams. I have full confidence in your dedication and effort as you conclude the academic year strong.

On Wednesday night, the School Board acknowledged the contributions of the student representatives to the School Board:

  • Kareena Grover from Charles J. Colgan Sr. High School
  • Beulah Sarsah from C.D. Hylton High School
  • Alternate: William Tyler from Brentsville District High School

These outstanding young leaders served as reliable partners to the School Board throughout their tenure as student representatives.

I look forward to working with our new student representatives for the 2026-27 school year:

  • Storm Alho from Woodbridge High School
  • Marli Smith from Freedom High School
  • Alternate: Carly (CJ) Graham from Charles J. Colgan Sr. High School

I am confident these students will carry on the proud tradition and invaluable contributions by lending their unique voices to help better PWCS.

Further congratulations to two PWCS principals on their selection for the Cahn Distinguished Principals Fellowship:

  • Anna Houseworth from Ashland Elementary School
  • Danna Johnson from Mary Williams Elementary School

The Cahn Fellows program is nationally recognized for excellence in education and supports strong school leaders to improve education for all students. This year, only 50 principals were selected to participate nationwide. I am enormously proud of our principals who are the fourth cohort in PWCS to be bestowed with this honor. With only five days remaining in the 2025-26 school year, we look forward to celebrating the close of another successful school year with our PWCS scholars, families, and staff.  As a final reminder, June 12 is the last day of school and will be an early-release day.
