Forbes has recognized Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS) as one of America’s Best-In-State Employers for 2026. PWCS was one of only four public school divisions in Virginia to be included on the list and ranked 58th among employers statewide.
“This recognition reflects the extraordinary people who make PWCS such a special place to work and learn,” said Dr. Babur Lateef, PWCS School Board Chairman At-Large. “As we work to bring the vision of the PWCS Elevate 2030 Strategic Plan to life and prepare every student for a thriving future, we remain committed to ensuring PWCS is a place where employees find meaningful opportunities, a strong sense of belonging, and a shared purpose. This recognition validates those efforts and reinforces our commitment to making sure every employee knows: You Belong Here.”
The annual ranking, developed by Forbes in partnership with market research firm Statista, is based on survey responses from more than 245,000 employees across the United States working for organizations with at least 500 employees. Participants evaluated their employers on criteria including workplace culture, opportunities for career advancement, wage parity, and responsiveness to employee concerns.
This recognition reflects the school division’s ongoing commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive workplace where employees are empowered to succeed and help ensure every student is prepared to thrive.
