Student Art Contest


Students in grades 1–8 are invited to showcase their creativity by drawing or painting a picture that reflects this year’s theme:
"Life is a puzzle, solve it drug free."

Eligibility

  • Open to students in grades 1 through 8
  • One entry per student

Artwork Requirements

  • Must be two-dimensional (flat surface only)
  • Use white, manila, or black paper
  • Maximum paper size: 12” x 18”
  • Acceptable mediums: Crayons, colored pencils, markers, watercolors, paint, paper collage, or mixed media
  • ❌ No digital art or 3D work

Mounting Instructions

  • Mount artwork to poster board (any color)
  • Final size must be:
    • No smaller than 8” x 10”
    • No larger than 12” x 18”
    • Preferred display size: 12” x 18”
  • Do not use foam board or matting

Labeling Instructions

Please include the following on the back of the artwork:
  • Student’s full name
  • Grade level
  • School name

Submission:

Students must submit artwork to their school art teacher at school. The art teacher will then submit via courier to:

Kelly Leadership Center
Attn: Mallory McKnight or Shylea Michaelis

Awards & Recognition

  • A panel of judges will select one winner per grade level
  • Winners will receive a swag bag filled with fun prizes and goodies
  • All winners will be recognized at the School Board Meeting on November 5, 2025
  • Winning artwork will be displayed at the Kelly Leadership Center
