Individual Student Alternative Education Plan (ISAEP/GED) Ages 16-17
Prince William County Public Schools offers the ISAEP Program for high school age students between the ages 16 and 17 years old to obtain a GED. This program is part of the Prince William County Public Schools Nontraditional Education and Alternative Programs Department.

Christine Driscoll is the ISAEP Coordinator for the 16–17-year-old program.
The ISAEP Program is a national alternative education program for students who are at least 16 years old and are enrolled in high school but are having difficulty succeeding in a regular classroom. This program can help students earn a High School Equivalency (HSE) Credential from the Commonwealth of Virginia.
To enroll in the ISAEP Program, students and parents must meet with the school counselor. The counselor will help them complete all required forms and collect all needed documents. After the counselor sends everything to the ISAEP Coordinator, the student will be contacted to complete pretesting.
The 2025-26 program will begin pretesting on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, for any student who has turned in all documents and is enrolled in a PWCS high school. Pretesting will take place in person at Woodbridge High School.
In-person GED classes will also start on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Woodbridge High School. Classes will be held every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 5-8 p.m. Students must attend all classes. Students must also join online tutoring every Monday from 5-8 p.m.
Students must stay for the full three hours on all in-person class nights. Program forms are available under the ISAEP Program Information tab. Forms can be filled out online or printed.

Attendance is required for both in-person and online classes.

If there is a cancellation on a night when there is testing at a GED testing center, testing will go on as scheduled, unless you hear otherwise.
