Your Path to Leadership

PWCS advertises and accepts applications for administrative positions year-round.

School-Based Leadership Application Process

PWCS utilizes administrative pools to fill vacancies for all of the following positions: Administrative Intern, Assistant Principal, Principal, Dean of Students, High School Director of Student Activities, and High School Director of School Counseling. The administrative application process includes specific screening steps: application assessment, online assessment, and in-person assessment.

Once applicants are admitted into an administrative candidate pool, they have an opportunity to apply for school openings. Vacancies are announced to candidates in the respective PWCS candidate pool. The interview process for a specific school vacancy includes a resume and cover letter screening, followed by the school-community panel interview for those candidates selected due to the strength of their responses to the required cover letter criteria.

Principal vacancies are announced to PWCS principals and candidates in the PWCS principal pool. The interview process for a specific principal vacancy includes a school-community panel interview and a superintendent interview.

The following timelines provide the framework that drives recruitment and selection for school-based eligibility pools:

  • Eligibility screening of qualified applicants: September through April
  • Targeted window of hiring for the upcoming school year: February through June

When you have completed uploading all required documents in your administrative application, please email [email protected] to alert us that your application packet is ready to be reviewed! We look forward to supporting your journey towards leadership in PWCS.

Most administrative positions have an initial screening. Applications received after that date may be reviewed and considered as they are received.
