Technical support for equipment is not available after 3 p.m. on normal business days and on Saturdays. For this reason, Security and Crisis Readiness highly recommends that renters interested in using such equipment schedule a time to test compatibility. Please observe the following:
The Kelly Leadership Center (KLC) is available on a very limited basis for non-PWCS-sponsored activities. PWCS-sponsored events and those PWCS-affiliated organizations, such as our partners conducting activities solely to the benefit of our students and/or staff, shall have priority of usage, followed by Virginia state and local government agencies. All other groups will be permitted to reserve the building on a first-come, first-served basis.

Due to its structure, the Kelly Leadership Center is primarily set up to accommodate events such as:
Other activities that fall outside of the noted events will be considered on a case-by-case basis as space and occupancy limits permit.
Please note that at this time, PWCS is unable to accommodate the following types of activities at the Kelly Leadership Center:
For the above types of activities, PWCS recommends renting space at a school building.
The Prohibited Events section of the Uncommon and Prohibited Activities, Events & Rentals webpage also lists activities that PWCS does not permit to take place on school property.

Renters wishing to decorate the areas of use, employ the services of a DJ or other form of entertainment, or use additional equipment, must first notify and obtain permission from Security and Crisis Readiness. These inquiries will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. For this reason, PWCS highly recommends that such requests be submitted 30 days in advance.
Please call 703-791-7435 or 571-374-6654, or email [email protected] or [email protected] to discuss the proposed decorations, entertainment, or equipment.
The following items are typically permitted and considered standard decorative materials: table centerpieces, tablecloths, banners, and balloons. Other items, such as decorative arches, rollout carpets, streamers, pipe and drape, and tents, may require an additional review and a copy of the item's certificate indicating it is flame-retardant. Other limitations to observe include, but are not limited to, the following:
For decor, which falls outside of what is noted above, Security and Crisis Readiness will review and advise if it is permissible.
Live bands, string quartets, choirs, and other forms of musical entertainment are typically authorized. Renters, who wish to employ the services of a DJ, are also welcome to do so. Questionable musical acts may require an additional review from PWCS.
The DJ or other live act may only set up on the first floor. It is recommended that they utilize the electrical outlets located on the rear of the elevator banks. Additional electrical outlets are located along the baseboards of the atrium.
Photo booths are permitted at events. Photo booths utilizing extensive lighting or decor will require review from Security and Crisis Readiness, which will advise if the booth is permissible or if additional permits must be filed with the Prince William County government.
Tents and canopies may only be set up outdoors and may not be placed in a manner that impedes paths of travel or blocks entrances/exits. The use of tents and/or canopies will require the renter to file for a Temporary Activity Permit.
All other forms of entertainment, "personalities," acts, equipment, or requests to alter the space not noted above must be submitted to Security and Crisis Readiness for review and approval.
