Focus: "Woodbridge Area" Elementary School Naming Community Engagement Session at Todos Market

6-7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 – In Person at Todos Market

Target Audience: All PWCS families

Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS) is beginning the naming process for the new “Woodbridge Area” Elementary School, opening in the 2026–27 school year. The school will help relieve overcrowding in the Route 1 corridor, and attendance boundaries were approved on February 4, 2026.

Community members are invited to submit name suggestions and supporting background information by April 15, 2026.

Per Policy 854, the naming committee will consider names that:

• Reflect local neighborhoods or places of historical, geographic, geological, or cultural significance, or
• Honor individuals or groups who have been deceased for at least three years and who demonstrated leadership in education, the arts/sciences, or public service.

Transportation Provided To and From Todos Market

• Shuttle Bus will pick up at Potomac View Elementary School | Starting at 5:15 p.m.
  Potomac View Elementary School, 14601 Lamar Rd., Woodbridge, VA 22191
  Bus will pick up at the front entrance of Potomac View Elementary School.

Committee recommendations will be presented to the School Board at a future meeting.
