Family at a family engagement event

Dear PWCS Families, Employees, and Community,

As we conclude another productive week, I want to highlight that the divisionwide Gallup Engagement Survey is open for staff and families. Parents and guardians are encouraged to complete a survey for each of their students. This important feedback helps us better understand experiences related to learning environments, family engagement, and workplace culture across our division. Parents and guardians have received a reminder message through SchoolStatus, and I encourage you to take five minutes to complete the family engagement survey and share your opinion. You may complete it more than once if you have children at different schools. Survey deadlines are February 20 for staff and February 27 for families.

Throughout February, we proudly celebrate Black History Month with a variety of school events and activities honoring the achievements and contributions of African Americans. Families and staff are encouraged to take part in these community experiences. Check out this special step team performance featuring participants from across PWCS.

February is also Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month. Our CTE programs equip students with hands-on skills for high-demand careers, ensuring they are ready for post-graduation success. Discover how the Elevate 2030 Strategic Plan strengthens these programs and prepares students for the future workforce.

I also invite families to participate in several upcoming events:

Please note that schools and offices will be closed on Monday, February 16, in observance of Presidents Day. I hope this extended weekend provides an opportunity for rest, reflection, and time with loved ones as we look forward to the weeks ahead.

Sincerely,
