StarBot is the Prince William County Public Schools’ (PWCS) artificial intelligence-powered virtual assistant designed to answer questions commonly asked by parents and guardians, staff, and students.
StarBot is in the pilot phase and is currently being tested for accuracy and usefulness.
While StarBot can help answer many questions, it should not be relied upon to make important decisions on legal, educational, medical, or other life-impacting matters. We encourage you to verify critical information on the PWCS website, by reviewing PWCS’ policies and regulations, or by contacting the school or the appropriate office.
Conversations are not monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; however, they are saved and may be used to improve responses and for training purposes.

In cases of emergency
StarBot is not an emergency reporting tool.
- Call 911 in cases of immediate emergency.
- Call or text 988 to contact the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
- Information about drugs, weapons, or other factors that may be harmful to the school environment can be reported using the PWCS Tip Line.
