Canvas is PWCS’ secure online classroom where teachers provide instructional materials, assignments, learning activities, and important class updates – all in one place.
Teachers use Canvas to create digital classrooms where students can:
Access learning materials and assignments
Participate in discussions
Collaborate with their peers
Communicate with their teachers
Access Zoom meetings for classes meeting online (if applicable)
Submit assignments
Receive feedback
Parents and guardians can opt to sign up for a Canvas Observer account to view their students’ classes, assignments, and teacher announcements. Observers can monitor progress but cannot complete assignments or make changes. While Canvas may show grades, it is not the gradebook of record. Families should sign in to ParentVUE to view their students’ grades.
