Military Child Education Coalition (MCEC®) offers recorded webinars to support military families by providing them, their parents, and professionals with programs, resources, and guidance—helping their children stay on course academically, socially, and emotionally.
Military Family Life Counselors (MFLC) provide free, confidential non-medical counseling to eligible military families. There are multiple ways to access MFLC services.
Barry Robinson Center – A behavioral health system for youth located in Norfolk, VA (Only serves military-connected youth ages 6-17 with mental health issues, including a dual diagnosis program for substance abuse.)
Parent Educational Advocacy Training Center (PEATC) – Provides a comprehensive overview of the services and resources available to military families, especially those with children who have disabilities. PEATC recognizes the unique challenges military families face, such as frequent moves and deployments, and how these factors can affect the education and well-being of children with special needs. Their website offers a variety of resources, including fact sheets on behavior intervention plans, early intervention for infants and toddlers, high school senior stabilization programs, and transition planning for the future.
