New for 2026-27, PWCS has expanded its partnership with George Mason University to simplify admissions for students at all PWCS high schools. This partnership is part of the PWCS strategic commitment to increase access and opportunity for students to post-high school education.
Students graduating in the class of 2027 who attend any PWCS high school and meet program requirements are guaranteed admission to George Mason University through the Direct Admissions Program.
Families of students in the class of 2028, and beyond, are encouraged to learn about this opportunity so they can plan ahead for senior year.
Follow these steps for direct admission to George Mason University for the class of 2027.
The Direct Admissions Program is available for eligible graduating students if they meet the following participation criteria:

GPAs are considered final by the first week of September.
Students who meet the direct admissions program requirements will receive the benefit of a streamlined admissions process and application, which includes an application fee waiver and does not require students to submit an essay or letters of recommendation unless they are applying for the Honors College. You and your student can anticipate receiving correspondence directly from George Mason University by the end of October.
