Employment Verifications for Current and Former Employees

PWCS uses Verifent's JobSync service for commercial verifications.

Commercial verifications are for financial institutions such as banks, mortgage companies, credit bureaus, car dealerships, apartment leasing agencies, and other commercial institutions, except for government requests (see the Verifications for Government Agencies section below).

Instructions for Commercial Verifiers

1. Go to Verifent’s website, click “Get Started,” and click “Login” under Verifiers. Please note that new Verifent users will need to register and create an account before proceeding.
2. When prompted, enter PWCS’ unique Organization Code 468087.
3. Please be prepared to provide the employee’s full name, date of birth, and last four digits of the Social Security number.

PWCS uses Verifent's DashHire service for Service/Experience Verifications (EV) for new and former certified/instructional employees seeking verification of creditable teaching/experience.

How to Complete the Service/Experience Verification Process

Employees must register and create a profile with Verifent. This takes just a few minutes, and you will always be able to access your verification request as a current or former employee of PWCS.

Step-by-step directions are listed below:

Step 1: Log in to Verifent

1. Visit Verifent’s website. Click “Get Started.”
2. Click “Login”
3. If you do not have login credentials, please click “Register.” You will need to create an account.

Step 2: Request EV

1. Click “Request EV” and begin typing the name of your Hiring Entity.
2. If your Hiring Entity does not display in the drop-down as you type, choose “Hiring Entity Not Found,” and select the state where your Hiring Entity is located. Go to step 6.
3. Click “Save Hiring Entity.”

Step 3: Enter Your Information

1. Enter your information and click “Next.”

Step 4: Choose Your Forms

1. Click the check box next to the verification(s) you need to request.
2. Click “Next.”

Step 5: Former Employer(s)

1. Click “Choose Former Employer(s).”
2. Enter all the Former Employer(s) you need an Experience Verification from.
3. If your Former Employer(s) does not drop down as you search, type and click “Former Employer Not Found.
4. Enter the information requested and click “Add Former Employer.”
5. Select your “Most Recent Employer” and click “Next.”

Note: Multiple former employers can be selected/added.

Step 6: Authorization

1. Sign your name, type your name, and click “I Agree – Continue.”
2. Review the request summary and click “Next.”

The PWCS Verifications Office processes requests to certify federal loan forgiveness requests, such as Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF), Ed.gov grants, and Teacher Service Loan Forgiveness (TSLF) requests. For PSLF, PWCS uses Verifent.  Please follow the steps below. 

Requesting your PSLF form is easy. We utilize Verifent to streamline responses and for data security purposes. Visit Verifent's website, click “Get Started,” click “Login,” and click “Request PSLF.” Follow the steps below.

Special Note: If you do not have login credentials, please click “Register.” You will need to create an account.

Step 1: Choose Employer

• Click “Choose Your Employer.”
  • Select your employer needing to review your form. Click “Save Employer.”
  • Click “Continue…”

Step 2: Complete the Following Sections

• Section 1: Borrower Information,
• Section 2: Borrower Request, Understandings and Certification
• Section 4: Employer Information
  • IMPORTANT: Begin with your most recent start date.
  • Additional Section 4 portions can be requested if there was a break in service.
  • If you are unsure of the following data elements, they can be left blank for your employer to complete:
    • Employment or Certification Begin/End Date
    • Hours Per Week (Average)
  • Additional Message to Employer (if needed)
  • Signature: You must sign your name legibly for Federal Student Aid to accept the form

Step 3: Employer Reviews/Completes

• The form will be sent to your employer to review/complete Section 4.

Once completed, your employer will have the option to fax the form directly to Federal Student Aid. If they fax the form to Federal Student Aid, you will be notified via email, and no further action is required.

To view completed PSLF forms, please visit login to your account. Completed forms are on your dashboard.

If your employer does not fax the form to Federal Student Aid, you will receive a different email notification stating, “YOU’RE NOT DONE.” Proceed to Step 4.

Step 4: Employee Response

• Click on the link in the email and enter your information. This will include an email verification and a Two-Factor Authentication code.
• Find your request and click “View Report.”
  • All edits made by your employer will be outlined in red.
• Choose to “Approve and Complete” or “Disapprove/Cancel.”
  • Approve and Complete
    • Click “Approve and Complete.”
    • Fill in the first 5 digits of your SSN.
    • If you want the PSLF form to be automatically faxed to Federal Student Aid, move the slider button to “Yes.”
    • Press “Approve and Complete.”
    • To download and/or print your completed PSLF, go back to your dashboard, fill in the first 5 digits of your SSN, and do NOT fax the form to Federal Student Aid.
  • Disapprove/Cancel
    • Click the ‘Disapprove/Cancel” button.
    • Type in the details of your disagreement.
    • **You will need to submit a new PSLF Request**
    • Under ‘Additional Notes’ on the new request, describe in detail why you are submitting a new form.

For Teacher Service Loan Forgiveness (TSLF) and other government monitoring systems, please submit the request to [email protected]. Please allow 2-3 business days for processing, and only submit the request once.

PWCS' Verifications Office provides verbal employment verifications for commercial verifiers, current employees, and former employees.
