How to Register

Registration Information

  1. Parents/guardians will register using Student Quick Pay.
  2. At the login screen, you can log in to or create their account. Please follow these instructions if you need to create an account.
  3. Once you have log in, you will see the name of your student(s). Select the student that you are registering.
  4. Select the Summer School tab.
  5. Then, select the program you would like to register for by clicking on that program.
  6. Complete the registration form by filling out the required fields.
    • If your student receives any of the following services or has any medical issues, you will check the box(es) that apply.
  7. Select the appropriate Transportation method.
  8. Check the box to confirm that you've read the Registration Information statement.
  9. Select Add to Cart when all information has been completed.
  10. Once your course selection(s) have been added to your cart, select the shopping cart icon in the top right to checkout.
  11. Complete the payment form and click Submit Payment when finished. Courses must be paid in full for your registration to be complete; partial payments will not be accepted.

  • If you receive the following message, "you have already added this program to your cart," then the course is currently full.
  • After receiving the message, please contact Summer School team at SummerSchool@pwcs.edu.
  • The Summer School team will then provide you with a waitlist form for the course.
  • You will then be contacted by the Summer School team if a spot becomes available for the course.

How to Cancel Your Registration and Request a Refund

We understand summer plans can change. We are offering the following refund policy for summer 2023.

  • The last day to cancel an enrichment program registration for a refund is June 16. No refunds or credits will be given for enrichment programs after that date.
  • To cancel a registration before June 16, email your student's name and the name of the summer program to SummerSchool@pwcs.edu.

Description: This sport, fitness, and nutrition enrichment program is designed for rising 4th through 5th-grade students looking to be active and engage in various movements and activities. Students will have the opportunity to exercise and work with others in a dynamic, fast-paced setting. Students will participate in various sports, fitness games, and activities and learn key nutritional concepts and information. The activities will include moderate to vigorous physical activity opportunities but balanced with time for low-intensity activities, social interaction, teamwork, and problem-solving. PWCS elementary physical education teachers will facilitate the program.

The College Application Essay: Telling Your Unique Story in 650 Words Camp: Grades 9-11

Current Grade Level(s): 9-11

Description: This course is designed for all levels of learners interested in further developing their English skills in a challenging college-level academic setting. This course is designed to help students learn writing strategies and techniques that create a memorable college essay. The course uses the prompts required for students who use the Common App. In 650 words, students write a compelling essay that reveals their unique story. This course focuses on developing skills in the art of written storytelling as well as the power of concise, organized language. Lessons and activities focus on analysis of rhetorical patterns and development of language structures. Model college essays are used to provide scaffolding. These models are evaluated by students during guided practice activities. Students engage in a simulation where they analyze sample essays in the role of an admissions officer so they learn what schools value and what makes a story memorable. In writing workshops, students will complete the course with a final college essay draft, enhanced writing skills, and knowledge of the expectations common to American universities.

Description: This week long, half-day robotics program designed for 6th and 7th grade students, will provide students with STEM focused hands-on activities that promote 21st-century skills as well as design engineering and computer science. Each day, students will participate in team building activities and receive a team briefing for daily challenges aligned to standards. The daily challenges will help students develop the skills and knowledge to complete the culminating project of designing a solution for a problem.

Description: This one-week, half-day science enrichment camp is designed for 6th and 7th-grade students and will provide students with STEM-focused hands-on activities that promote 21st-century skills, social and emotional learning, and review math, language arts, and science. Each day, students will participate in team-building activities. Daily challenges will help students develop the skills and knowledge that will be used to complete the culminating project that utilizes lego robots and the concepts of force and motion.

Description: This one-week, half-day science enrichment program for middle students interested connecting science to the world of criminal justice. The program will explore the worlds of Forensic Toxicology, Forensic Anthropology, Fingerprints and Impressions, and Blood Spatter. Students will utilize laboratory investigations and "case study" learning approaches for a fun and informative look at the world of Forensic Science.

Science for Makerspaces: Grades 6-8

Description: Join this week-long science enrichment class and participate in engineering design challenges for students to engage with emerging technologies through hands-on learning. Inspired by Smithsonian Science for the Classroom, these activities bridge formal science education and the makerspace movement with technologies within the context of science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM) by asking them to make something new. Hey kids, you will observe, make, design and test solutions to science problems!

Human and Comparative Anatomy Studies Camp: Grades 10-11

Current Grade Level(s): 10-11

Description: This one-week 1/2-day program is designed for high school students interested in gaining in-depth understanding and working knowledge of human body structure and function. This program is an ideal foundation for students who may be considering career opportunities in health and medical fields. Students will explore human body systems through modeling activities, investigations, and computer simulations. Participation in comparative anatomy explorations through a variety of animal dissections will enable students to make connections between human body structures and those of other animals. Students will apply dissection techniques to an in-depth fetal pig dissection using the protocol for a human autopsy. This course will provide an in-depth look at the biology of form and function and how vertebrate organisms evolved as compared to one another.
