2025 Discovery Enrichment Programs

  • All Discovery Enrichment courses will be held at The Nokesville School (12375 Aden Rd., Nokesville, Virginia, 20181) and Brenstville District High School (12109 Aden Rd., Nokesville, Virginia, 20181).
  • Programs will be held July 14-25, 2025. Specific dates and location for each program are listed below. Programs range from one week to two weeks.
  • During the registration process, families will select the Express Bus Stop that is the most convenient for them. Bus stop times will be communicated before the program begins.
  • Discovery Enrichment programs are available for Prince William County Public Schools students only.
  • Programs that are full do not have a waitlist.
  • Discovery programs have associated tuition costs.
  • Course offerings are for the grade level that students have just completed.
  • Scholarships are available to cover the entire tuition for students.
    • For students attending a Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) school, please email your student's name and school to [email protected]. CEP schools are listed on the School Meals Information website.
    • Scholarships are also available for students receiving free and reduced lunch.
    • Please email the letter received from PWCS Food and Nutrition Department verifying eligibility for the free or reduced-price meal benefits for the 2024-25 school year.

How to Register

Registration Information

  1. Parents/guardians will register using Student Quick Pay.
  2. At the login screen, you can log in to or create their account. Please follow these instructions if you need to create an account.
  3. Once you have logged in, you will see the name of your student(s). Select the student that you are registering.
  4. Select the Summer School tab.
  5. Then, select the program you would like to register for by clicking on that program.
  6. Complete the registration form by filling out the required fields.
    • If your student receives any of the following services or has any medical issues, you will check the box(es) that apply.
  7. Select the appropriate Transportation method and choose the Express Bus Stop most convenient to you if you are selecting PWCS transportation.
  8. Check the box to confirm that you've read the Registration Information statement.
  9. Select Add to Cart when all information has been completed.
  10. Once your course selection(s) have been added to your cart, select the shopping cart icon in the top right to checkout.
  11. Complete the payment form and click Submit Payment when finished. Courses must be paid in full for your registration to be complete; partial payments will not be accepted. Note: You must submit payment in order to complete the registration process, you will receive an email confirmation once you submit.

Additional Registration Information

  • If you receive the following message, "you have already added this program to your cart," then the course is already full.
  • Please note: If your child is enrolled in SACC, the SACC staff is not able to take students to the bus stop.

How to Cancel Your Registration and Request a Refund

We understand summer plans can change. We are offering the following refund policy for summer 2025.

  • The last day to cancel an enrichment program registration for a refund is May 31. No refunds or credits will be given for enrichment programs after that date.
  • To cancel a registration before May 31, email your student's name and the name of the Discovery course to [email protected].

Arts Camps

Visual Arts Enrichment Camp: Grades 1-8

Current Grade Level(s): 1-8

Description: Join us for a two-week immersive visual art experience. (art, 3D, photography, and digital art) During this program, students will have the opportunity to explore a wide variety of techniques with both two-and three-dimensional art media. An art exhibit for students and families serves as our culminating event. Participants will need to attend both weeks of the program.

Description: During this two-week enrichment program, students will engage in a wide range of music-making experiences. They will explore a variety of cultures, genres, and styles of music. A performance for students and families will be our culminating event. Participants must attend both weeks of the program.

Music Technology Camp: Grades 6-8

Description: This camp is designed for young musicians who are passionate about exploring the intersection of music and technology. Students will learn the basics of music production, creating original music tracks and beats, producing a podcast, collaborating with peers, and unleashing their creativity. Musical works will be shared in a culminating event for students and families. Participants must attend both weeks of the program.

Career and Technical Education Camps

Bits and Bytes Bootcamp for Code Creators: Grades 5-7

Current Grade Level(s): 5-7

Description: Discover the exciting world of programming as students are introduced to fundamental programming concepts using Micro:Bits, a versatile and user-friendly microcontroller. Through interactive projects and hands-on activities, students will learn basic programming concepts and coding while learning how hardware and software work together. This enrichment program is sure to inspire creativity among young and innovative tech enthusiasts interested in exploring the endless possibilities of programming in a fun and engaging way! Students will need to bring their school-issued devices and charger daily.

Description: Join us for a week-long exploration of the world of computer science and cybersecurity through engaging, hands-on activities and interactive lessons. Students will explore coding and computational thinking, learn about online safety, and discover the fascinating field of cybersecurity. This program is perfect for young tech enthusiasts eager to develop new skills and have fun while doing it! Students will need to bring a school-issued device and charger daily.

Future Fabricators: An Introduction to 3D Printing Grades 5-7

Current Grade Level(s): 5-7

Description: Are you ready to explore the exciting world of 3D printing? This technology and engineering enrichment program will introduce students to basic 3D printing concepts and skills, including designing and creating their own 3D models. Through hands-on activities and interactive lessons, students will learn how to use 3D printers, understand the principles of 3D design, and bring their creative ideas to life. This may be the perfect opportunity for young innovators who are eager to explore the future of technology in a fun engaging way!

Mechatronics Melodies: Grades 5-7

Current Grade Level(s): 5-7

Description: In this week-long, hands-on program, students embark on a journey that blends muscial exploration with technological discovery. Students will build their own 3D-printed pianos, gaining first hand experience with the mechanics of each key and note. Through interactive sessions, they will delve into the fascinating world of Arduino microcontrollers, learning to program melodies and rhythms, and transforming their creations into muscial instruments. Mechatronics Melodies is best suited for students who possess a passion for music and a curious mind about how instruments work, students who enjoy building and tinkering with technology, and students who want to express themselves through music in a novel and innovative way.

Flavors of the World: A Culinary World Tour: Grades 5-8

Current Grade Level(s): 5-7

Description: Embark on a delicious journey in this one-week summer enrichment experience uniquely designed for middle school students! This program introduces students to basic cooking concepts and techniques, kitchen safety, and the joy of multicultural exploration. Each day, students will explore a different country or culture and participate in hands-on cooking activities using culturally inspired recipes. Families will be invited to join on the final day of camp to enjoy the full menu of students' culinary creations. Do you have an aspiring chef at home? This may be the perfect opportunity for young food enthusiasts to discover new flavors and cooking skills in a fun and interactive way!

Mission to Mars: Launching Thriving Futures in Aerospace Grades 5-7

Description: 3-2-1...get ready to blast off in this exciting one-week aerospace adventure! Students will reach for the stars as they are introduced to rocketry through hands-on investigations and activities. This stellar experience will incorporate designing and constructing model rockets while exploring key topics such as the engineering design process, phases of rocket flight, and launch testing.
