Prince William County Public School students have been named as winners of the fourth-and-fifth-grade writing contest in the 2020 celebration of the life and writings of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The contest, sponsored by the Prince William County Alumnae Chapter of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., was open to students from Manassas City, Manassas Park City, and Prince William County.
Students were asked to submit a one- or two-page essay reflecting on the writing prompt, "Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a champion for justice, peace, and freedom for all people. What does freedom mean to you?"
