Diploma

Are you over 18 and need a high school diploma to advance in your career? If you have acquired academic skills through life and work experiences and can demonstrate what you have learned, the National External Diploma Program (NEDP) may be for you.

In addition to programs in general education development (GED) preparation and test practice, citizenship preparation, and high school equivalency, the Office of Adult Education offers this competency-based high school completion program for individuals 18 years of age and older. Successful completion of this self-directed program earns the participant a high school diploma through the PWCS Office of Adult Education, issued by the local school board.

To learn more about the NEDP program, attend one of the information sessions, scheduled for your convenience at both 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. on the following dates:

  • September 14, 2020
  • October 5, 2020
  • November 9, 2020
  • December 7, 2020

Information sessions for the first semester will be held virtually, via Zoom. To register for a session, please call the Adult Education Office at 703-791-7357 or email [email protected].

There is no cost for the session. The initial program registration cost is $200, payable by credit/debit card, cashier's check, or money order. Non-residents of Prince William County, Manassas, or Manassas Park pay an additional fee.
