The Prince William County School Board would like to thank the Board of County Supervisors for allocating $20 million of CARES Act funding to Prince William County Public Schools. This funding is in addition to the $5 million provided to PWCS earlier this summer for technology. The $20 million will help fund critical needs for the school division including technology for students, instructional support needs, and other COVID-19 related operational changes.
Dr. Babur Lateef, Chairman At-Large for the School Board, said, "These are very uncertain times, and we are working very hard to provide a quality education to each of our students during this pandemic. I am thankful the supervisors are supporting the needs of our students with this funding."
