Dear PWCS Families, Employees, and Community,

As we have launched the first phase of the PWCS Vision 2025: Launching Thriving Futures Strategic Plan, I am encouraged by the commitment and progress toward our strategic goals. This has been an exciting and rewarding year as we celebrated student achievement across a wide array of content areas to include scholarship, fine and performing arts, and athletics, confronted honest truths to learn and grow from our challenges, and committed to continuous improvement.

PWCS is an exceptional school division, and I know our strength lies in leveraging our diversity, working toward inclusivity, and providing equitable opportunities and support for all students. I would like to thank our entire community for your commitment, partnership, and dedication to our collective vision to see every student graduate on time with the knowledge, skills, and habits of mind necessary to create a thriving future for themselves and their community.

For those students choosing to participate in our summer programs, we look forward to seeing you again very soon. To families who will not be joining us for PWCS summer learning and enrichment activities, we hope you will plan to attend the many back-to-school events scheduled throughout the summer.

In late July, we will begin providing information about the 2023-24 school year, including the implementation of weapons detection systems at all middle, high, and nontraditional schools.

Thank you all for your amazing work, day in and day out, and for your continuous support throughout the year. I am proud of all that we have accomplished this school year and excited about the tremendous opportunities that lie ahead in the future of this great school division.

Have a safe and enjoyable summer, and I look forward to seeing all students return on August 21.

Sincerely,
